One 4"x 6" stamp set
One Digi Stamp of choice

$25 Gift Card (Regular Priced Items)

Here is what I made..

To begin, I took a piece of Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock and taped it to a hard board with painter's tape. Using two colors from the Sakura Koi Watercolors travel set, I saturated the paper with water and dropped on the paint, allowing the colors to blend together. Then I used my heat tool to dry the paper before layering on more color.

When I was happy with the background, I used the largest scallop die from the Fancy Frame Dies set to die cut the panel. After that, I worked on the images. I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Neenah Solar White and colored them with various Copic markers. I fussy cut the cats and die cut the umbrella with its coordinating die.

Next, I used a die from the Pocket Pieces Hello Dies to give the cats a place to sit. I borrowed this idea from CDD DT member Laurie. I loved how she used the die a few months back and thought it wouldn't take too much away from the background.

I adhered the dies and the cats with foam tape, added the sequins using Multi Medium Matte and worked on the sentiment.

The sentiment also came from the Lovies stamp set. I stamped it with Hero Arts Unicorn White but it didn't stand out enough so I went over the text with a white gel pen. The result is not my favorite but I didn't want to make it worse so it stayed. haha

CDD Hearts Linky Party - Love Skunk!

Here is what I made..

I couldn't resist making a card with this cute little skunk and using the Love die from the Heart of Heart Dies set.

To start, I took a panel of Neenah Solar White and started flicking different colors of Distress Inks onto the paper. I used: Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers and Mermaid Lagoon. I keep using them together and I keep loving it! I wanted the colors to have a bit of shimmer to them so I added some Perfect Pearls to the Mermaid Lagoon and flicked it on the panel a bit more. I probably went overboard but I admit it, I was having fun!

I wanted to use the Fancy Frame Dies in a way I hadn't used them before so I used the two scalloped dies in the set and die cut them together to save time. To assemble the card, I simply adhered the outside of the die cut panel directly to the card base. To make the middle of the die cut panel higher, I adhered it with one strip of foam tape. For the center of the die cut panel, I adhered it using two strips of foam tape together so it was higher than the rest. The photo above shows the dimension much better than my final photo and you can see the sparkle from the Perfect Pearls.

The theme of this Linky is Hearts so I decided to pull out my extra hearts from the few times I've die cut the large heart from the Heart of Heart Dies. Going along with the colors on the background, I colored the hearts to match using Copic Markers and set them aside. I have to add, having extra hearts laying around has been very convenient! Another reason to love the new die set!

This little skunk is so cute. After second generation stamping him on Neenah Solar White, I colored him with various Copic Markers and filled in his eyes and smile with a Memento Tuxedo Black marker. I wanted him to have a place to stand on the card without free floating so I decided to have him stand on the Love arrow.

I die cut the Love arrow out of sparkly blue-green cardstock and then several times from black cardstock so I could layer the paper and give it some dimension as well. After fussy cutting the skunk, I adhered him with foam tape to stand atop the Love arrow.

Here you can see that I took the several small hearts that I had colored with Copics and adhered them to the card base using Multi Medium Matte.

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you like the card and that you join us in the Hearts challenge!

Here is my project:

To start, I took a piece of watercolor paper and blended Blueprint Sketch and Salty Ocean Distress Inks into the background. After sprinkling drops of water on the ink, I patted the water off with a paper towel.

Next, I used the largest die from Fancy Frame Dies to die cut the panel.

When the ink was dry, I heat embossed the sentiment, Wishing you the merriest holiday season, from the stamp set, Tis The Season, using Hero Arts Embossing Powder in White. When I brushed off the anti-static powder from the panel, I used a white gel pen to draw snow on the background.

For the snow, I decided I would use two of the Stitched Scallop Dies because let's face it, die cut looks better than hand cut with scissors. :) One of my friends brought it to my attention that these dies have double piercing between the stitched lines. I love the look of it! And I can't believe I didn't see it before.

The critter I decided to use for this card comes from one of my favorite CDD stamp sets, Chilly. Isn't this bunny just darling? I stamped the bunny on Neenah Solar White 80 lb and lightly colored with various Copic markers. I colored a shadow and bunny prints with Copics and adhered the bunny to the Stitched Scalloped watercolor cardstock, finishing the bunny by adding white gel pen dots to him as well.

To finish off the card, I taped the two pieces of stitched scallops together, positioned the scalloped frame die over them and die cut them together. When they came out, they matched the scalloped panel. After I adhered everything to the card, I was finished!

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a beautiful day!

Here is my project:

To start, I die cut a scrap of My Mind's Eye Shimmer Cardstock in Imperial Red with the largest scallop die from the Stitched in Circles Dies set. Next, I used the wreath die from that set to die cut vellum and white paper and adhered them to the red paper using Multi Medium Matte.

After that, I clear heat embossed the bottom half of the birdhouse and blended Ground Espresso Distress Ink into the paper, fussy cut the Home Sweet Home sign on the birdhouse and set it aside.

Next, I second generation stamped the bird house and the bird with Rich Cocoa Memento Ink and colored the images with various Copic markers. Using my craft knife, I cut the holes out of the birdhouse.

After I was done, I fussy cut the images, used foam tape to mount the sign on the birdhouse and made the bird look like he was perching on the sign.

For the card base, I started by blending Festive Berries Distress Ink into the bottom of the card and fading it upwards. When the Distress Ink was dry, I heat embossed the sentiment, Merry Christmas, from the stamp set, Tis The Season, using white embossing powder from Hero Arts.

For the finishing touches, I adhered a scrap of tinsel ribbon around the card base and popped the scalloped circle up with foam tape over the ribbon. I brushed Clear Wink of Stella over parts of the images and used a red Wink of Stella glitter pen to draw sparkly red dash lines all the way around the card and I was done!
